Commercial Design Studio
This conceptual design studio project explores the design of a 2,000 sq. ft. space located on the third floor of a new commercial building. I was tasked with including a reception area, showroom, conference room, kitchen, unisex restroom, and private office.
The firm specializes in furniture design, drawing from mid-century modern aesthetics with industrial influences. I prioritized space planning to maximize natural light across all areas while maintaining a logical, efficient flow for both clients and staff.
Material selections were intentional in blending both styles, the warm wood tones and rich colors of mid-century modern are balanced against raw metal finishes and textured surfaces drawn from industrial design. The result is a cohesive, welcoming studio environment that feels current, functional, and conducive to creativity.
